Legal Mandarin Course for Lawyers

New Concept Mandarin has been providing Mandarin Chinese courses for lawyers and law firms since year 2,000. Our legal Mandarin courses are designed for legal professionals and our Chinese lessons can be customized to meet the specific needs of each individual learner. We currently provide the following legal Mandarin courses and legal writing course in Chinese.

Foundation Mandarin Course 基础普通话课程

For Foundation Mandarin Course, you will focus on the basics of pronunciation, conversation, and general communication oriented to legal scenarios.

Advanced Legal Chinese Course 高级法律普通话课程

For Advanced Legal Chinese Course, you will learn more legal topics in Chinese. You will learn legal Chinese terms and the use of the terms in legal documents. You will focus more on reading authentic legal papers and documents. Course contents will be customized in client’s learning needs.

Legal Chinese Writing Workshop 法律中文写作工作坊

In addition to legal Mandarin Courses, we also offer Chinese Legal Writing Workshop. This service is mainly for big firms that need to improve their legal professionals’ Chinese writing proficiency.

All courses can be delivered either face-to-face or over ZOOM, in the client’s location or in our training center in Central. Trainer's profiles

Wang Libo

Wang Libo got his MA from Queens University in Canada and MA of language studies from Liaoning University in China. He also has a BA in English language and literature.  He is a native Mandarin speaker and he speaks fluent English and Cantonese. Libo has substantial language teaching experience in both universities and business. He was a university teacher in China for many years before he went to Canada for further studies.  He worked as a full time language trainer and translator for over 20 years before he joined New Concept Mandarin as a legal Mandarin trainer. Libo is very experienced in teaching Business Mandarin from beginner to advanced levels. He is a very knowledgeable language teacher, and he has taught general Chinese and Chinese for specific purposes, particularly in legal fields. He knows how to inspire his students and guide them to learn Chinse. He is a very caring and patient teacher and is well received and welcomed by the students.

Sharon Liu

Sharon got her Bachelor’s Degree of Law from Lanzhou University and Master’s Degree of Law from City University of Hong Kong. Sharon speaks native Mandarin and Cantonese as will as fluent English. She is a registered lawyer and is a partner in a well-known Chinese law firm based in Guangdong. She has 20 years legal practice experience covering financing, foreign investment, commerce and general corporate. She has good understanding of the legal systems and legal practice of both Mainland China and Hong Kong due to her practical experience in both places. In addition to legal practice, Sharon is also an experienced trainer. She provides both online and face-to-face training courses to legal practitioners, including fresh legal students, trainees, and young professionals. Sharon’s class is fun and effective, and she has been providing legal Chinese writing workshops to the leading law firms in Hong Kong and is well received by both the participants and learning and development department.
