Something about "TIME"

I believe most of you are familiar with the word "shíjiān". But do you know what do we translate "time" into in expressions like "on time" and "in time". Today let’s talk about something about "time".

1. On time 按时(àn shí)

He always finishes tasks on time.
他总是按时完成任务。
(tā zǒng shì àn shí wán chéng rènwù)

2. In time 及时( jí shí)

He always answers people’s questions in time.
他总是很及时地回答别人的疑问。
(tā zǒng shì hěn jí shí dehuí dá bié rén de yí wèn)

3. Sometimes 有时候( yǒu shíhòu)

She sometimes travels abroad.
她有时候会去国外旅游。
(ā yǒu shí hòu huì qù guó wài lǚ yóu)

4. many times 很多次( hěnduō cì)

He's been to China many times.
他去过中国很多次。

5. It’s time to... 是时候…( shì shíhòu)

It’s time to get up.
是时候起床了。

6. at any time 随时( suí shí)

You are welcome to visit my home at any time.
你可以随时来我家玩。
(nǐ kě yǐ suí shí lái wǒ jiā wán)

7. All the time 一直( yī zhí)

She is reading all the time.
她一直在看书。
(tā yī zhí zài kàn shū)

8. Keep good time 守时( shôu shí)

He is a person who keeps good time.
他是一个很守时的人。
(tā shì yī gè hěn shǒu shí de rén)
